There are guides published that read like they’ve been written while asleep, like some of the tourism book giants, and then there’s the in depth, personal guides and suggestions of the local. Who better to give recommendations about a region than from someone who lives there? Lensmaster Spook has made one of the best travel lenses I’ve read on part of Country Cork, Ireland: Ring.
The town has incredible views of inlets, old castle-like ruins, and plenty of pubs and bars in the area. Spook has gone out of his way to include some excellent photos detailing the area perfectly from every possible angle. The town is approximately 54 miles from the city of Cork, the 3rd largest city in the country by population, and near the town of Clonakilty.
Also in the lens, you’ll notice great use of the Photo Gallery module. You can add captions to each photo, and it rotates on its own (or the user can click on a photo).
Be sure to check out the Irish t-shirts I’ve created as well at Irish Curlys.
